I had this issue. This fixed it for me. Right-click on the short-cut selected Troubleshoot compatibility follow sorking instructions and save the settings. In reply to JD's post on March 5, The shortcuts I'm having trouble with are ones that point to documents, either PDF, doc, txt, etc.

There is no "troubleshoot compatibility" option when you right-click one of those shortcuts. The hojegroup way I've found to get around the problem is to recreate the shortcut and delete the bad one. This site in other languages x.
